4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
3/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
Preheat oven to 350. Microwave chocolate and butter in large bowl for 2 minutes. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add four; mix well. Refrigerate 15 min. or until dough is easy to handle.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets.
Bake 8 -10 minutes. (do not over bake) Let stand on baking sheet 1 minute,; transfer to wire racks and cool completely.
Jazz it up with crushed peppermint right after they come out of the oven.
Makes about 5 doz. or 30 servings, 2 cookies each. (Mine were much bigger, and took 10 minutes) (Brooke Combs)
