1 lb. or 1 box lasagna noodles, cooked
Grated Parmesan
8 oz. grated mozzarella
8 oz. grated mild cheddar
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 lb. ground chuck
28 oz. can tomatoes
6 oz. can tomato paste
approx. 2 cups water
pinch of basil
1 tsp. salt (to taste)
1 tsp. or more oregano
1/8 tsp. cayenne
1 Tbsp. sugar (to taste)
1 bay leaf
Brown meat, onion and garlic. Pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients simmer uncovered 1 ½ hours. Tatste! Add Lawery's garlic salt or reg salt or more sugar if lacking flavor. Remove bay leaf and put a little sauce in large baking pan, 1 layer of noodles, sprinkle each of 3 cheeses with layer of sauce, repeat to make about 3 layers ending with layer of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serves 8-12 generously.
