My favorite brunch spot is in Copenhagen at a place called, Dag H. They serve a variety of tiny portions of brunch foods on an oblong platter. I will list the items below that should appear on the platter and see picture below (with a double yogurt!!!):
Natural, plain yogurt with pure maple syrup on top (about 1/8-1/4 inch layer) and a sprinkling of unsalted, shelled sunflower seeds
Mini baked item, like a muffin or tiny brownie
Tomato/mozzarella, fresh basil (mozzarella sliced like a lemon wedge), tiny drizzle of olive oil
Thinly sliced salmon roll with salmon mousse inside, sitting on a bed of fresh chives
Fresh fruit – half fig/pineapple
Crisp bacon or chorizo sausage
Small ham slice
2 mini cheese wedges, cut like a pie piece
Soft boiled egg (I don’t prefer these, but many do!)
Add a piping hot cup of peppermint tea and you’re set!
I made a modified version of this brunch for Angie Owen’s wedding shower. I prepared tiny, bite-sized versions of the items above and displayed them on mirrored platters in perfect rows.
