Brooke’s Snickerdoodles

½ cup shortening

1 stick butter

1 ½ cup sugar

2 eggs

2 ¾ cup flour

1 tsp. soda

¼ tsp. salt

2 tsp. cream of tartar


Mix wet ingredients and then add mixture of dry ingredients. Roll into 1 inch or 2 inch diameter balls, roll in cinnamon sugar, and place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven for about 7 minutes or a little longer. For best results get Brooke, Gige or Andi to make ‘em!
